Hello!  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday.  I wanted to share with you one of my latest pieces entitled “Between Worlds”.  This sculpture is fun for me, because of the inspiration from which it came!  I don’t know why kids are sometimes obsessed with dead bugs and stuff, but one day last year, my daughter (then 4 yrs old) insisted, absolutely INSISTED, that we have dinner with our “dead friends”.  At the time, our dead friends included a dead hummingbird that the dog had found (poor little thing) and the shell of a rhino beetle that we had found the previous week.  So our centerpiece for our dinner that day, was our dead friends on a paper plate in the middle of the dining table.  So weird.  I have never had a centerpiece like that!

So Between Worlds is really a shrine to our dead friends of the world.  How bizarre is that?!? 🙂  Love it.  It’s certainly a conversation piece for anyone who has seen the sculpture!
