Carolina Art Soiree

I feel fortunate to have this event coming up.  The Carolina Art Soiree is a fundraiser I did last year, and I totally LOVED it.  What a beautiful event – decorated so nicely and such wonderful art! These gals make this fundraiser a win/win for everyone.  They are raising money for GBS/CIPD which is a disease I had never even heard of until last year.  But now, I have met several people who have had the disease or they currently are suffering from it.  They have amazing stories to share, and they are so THANKFUL that something is being done to help them.  The art that is sold at this fundraiser is high end, quality work, and they even bring in an interior designer to help display the work and to properly light the artwork.  This is HUGE.  How many times have artists done fundraisers, only to find their pieces hidden in a dark corner where no one can see their work?  And the other thing is that the artwork SELLS.  These people love art, they love the cause, and the energy is high.  It’s truly is a fun event to attend.  If you want, you can see my page on their website – they are great to include info about each of their artists!

The pieces I created for this event are all pieces for the wall!  I just got on a roll with the wall-hanging sculptures, and it’s practical too.  They are easier to transport and display for an event like this too.  I’ve got some old favorites in there, as well as a few new pieces too.  If you live in Charlotte, or have friends in Charlotte, tell them to go for a fun evening out.  And who knows, maybe they can pick up some wonderful art while they’re there too! 🙂

Here are my other works that will be in the exhibit: (click on the pic to enlarge)
